The Madison Bowling Association conducts a number of tournaments for bowlers of all abilities.
The Association Championship Tournament runs for four weekends in January. It is the same basic format as the Wisconsin State Tournament and USBC Open Championships, with Team, Doubles, and Singles events, optional All Events, and a number of other optional side events. The tournament has a scratch division, and two handicapped (100%) divisions – one for averages 200 and higher, the other for averages 199 and under.
The annual MBA Masters follows the City Tournament and is held on the day before the Super Bowl. It is a singles scratch event conducted on a lane condition that is more difficult than your typical house condition.
This tournament, is held the first two weekends of November. Much like the City Tournament, it has Team, Doubles, and Singles events, optional All Events, and a number of optional side events (including scratch options). All divisions for the Senior City Tournament are 100% handicapped and based on age -ranging from 50-54 to 70+.
The Senior Masters is held annually on the Saturday following the Senior City Tournament. This is a singles, scratch event conducted on a lane condition that is more difficult than your typical house condition.
